		<description><![CDATA[<strong> Deadline Extended to February 19, 2010 </strong>
Students are invited to submit art and poetry which will be displayed as part of the project.]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h4><strong><span style="font-family: Arial;"><em>Postcard art project</em></span></strong></h4>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Students (K-college) are invited to join a worldwide mail art exhibition as part of the Rivers of Regeneration art exhibition. This is an opportunity for all to express their views about our human rights to access clean water. All work will be posted on the exhibition website. Selected student and adult postcards will be displayed as part of the exhibition.<br />

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Submit a 4” x 6” or Size 6 postcard that reflects on water as a universal human right. Recycled materials are encouraged. On the back of the postcard please provide your name, address, age (if a student), and the materials used to make the card. Postcards will not be returned. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: Arial;">Students (K- 12) are invited to submit short poems which will be posted on the Women and Water Rights website. Selected poems may be displayed as part of the exhibition and on the website. Teachers should submit poems as e-mail attachments, one poem per student. Include the student’s name and age, and indicate which students would like to participate in an open mic/poetry slam on March 3rd at the <a href="http://womenandwater.net/?p=70">Water Dance Day of Education and Celebration</a>. </span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A worldwide call for entries to a mail art exhibit<br />
addressing the issues of Women and Water Rights.<br />
An inclusive global mail art exhibit open to women,<br />
women/men collaborations, and students. This is<br />
an opportunity for all to express their personal views<br />
and concerns about the relations between women<br />
and water rights. All work will initially go to a website<br />
blog. Selected work will be mounted as part of<br />
the exhibit. A slideshow of all the mail art may be<br />
available during the exhibit.</p>

		<description><![CDATA[A worldwide call for entries to a video shorts art exhibit]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A worldwide call for entries to a video shorts art exhibit<br />
addressing the issues of Women and Water Rights.</p>
<p>We will accept video entries of all lengths under 15 minutes,<br />
and all genres: narrative, documentary, animation, and<br />
collage. We accept works produced in any year. Video<br />
entries must be created by women videographers, or directed<br />
or co-directed by women.</p>
<p>DEADLINE: Preview Submission Nov 2, 2009<br />
<strong><span style="color: #e86363;">Guidelines</span></strong><br />
<strong>Preview Format</strong>: 5 min. DVD form (cued to start)<br />
<strong>Exhibition Format</strong>: DVD/mini DV tape is preferred<br />

<strong>Entry Fee:</strong> $25 (U.S.) per entry. Check or Money Order made payable to: U of M Art Department</p>
<p><strong>Artist Statement</strong><br />
Artists are required to provide a statement for each video<br />
entered along with a description of the video to be included<br />
